Raymond Bachar was elected to the board of directors for Temple Studio of Fine Art Fairfield Iowa, North Campus Village in 2004. 

Despite his battle with cancer starting in 2002, Mr. Bachar is a constant source of encouragement, advice and ideas.

Mr. Bachar enthusiastically and endlessly supports his daughter director Rebecca Bachar's teaching especially the children.

Mr. Bachar won many awards for his creative headlines and articles, including the prestigious Lisagor Award, see below. 

As a writer Ray informed and entertained thousands of readers with his articles and heartfelt and humorous stories.

Mr. Bachar- a decorated military officer in both the Air Force and National Guard, 

Ray- also an accomplished painter working in oil paints and acrylics.

He had many exhibits of his paintings, several at Temple Studio of Fine Art.

Ray taught art and painting to the students at Temple Studio and nature and outdoors skills to studio students and campers.
